On March 23, 1994, Aeroflot Flight 593 from Moscow to Hong Kong crashed, killing all 75 on board. Relief Captain Yaroslav Kudrinsky let his children, Yana and Eldar, sit in the cockpit. While the autopilot was on, Eldar’s input unintentionally overrode it, causing the plane to lose stability. Despite the crew’s efforts, the aircraft stalled and spun out of control, crashing into the Kuznetsk Alatau Mountain range.
